Phyllis J. Jurich

Newark/Clifton Springs--- Phyllis Jurich, 85, died Sunday (January 22, 2012) at the Clifton Springs Hospital. 

            Friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. on Tuesday (January 24th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Felix Dalimpuo at 10 A.M. on Wednesday (January 25th) at St. Michael’s Church, South Main Street, Newark.  Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

            Memorials, in her memory, may be made to Clifton Springs Hospital Foundation for Comfort Care, 2 Coulter Road, Clifton Springs, New York 14432.

            Mrs. Jurich was born on January 11, 1927 in Queens, New York, the daughter of the late Fred and Matilda Suren Bryant.  She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church.  At one time, she had worked as an aide at Wayne County Nursing Home, Newark Wayne Community Hospital and the Sisters of St. Joseph Convent Infirmary.  Phyllis was a much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed gardening in her spare time.

            She is survived by three daughters Gail Mac Williams of Newark, Pamela (Mark) Wright of Victor, Vivian Jurich of Jackson Heights, N.Y.; a son James (Ilirianna) of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Phyllis was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Louis on April 20, 2011.
