Dolores M. Wagemaker

Newark –Dolores M. Wagemaker, 82, died Sunday (August 22, 2010) at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

           A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Friday (August 27th) at St. Michael’s Church, South Main Street, Newark.  Burial will be in Newark Cemetery. 

          Mrs. Wagemaker was born April 30, 1928, in Newark, the daughter of Frank and Angelica DeJohn Mason.  She was a life-long resident of Newark and a graduate of Newark High School.  For many years, Del owned and operated the Cross and Shield on North Main Street. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church.  A Gold Star Mother, Del was honored to be a participant in Newark’s Memorial Day and Veteran’s Days ceremonies. 

          She is survived by her son James Marsh of Carrboro, NC, a granddaughter Jenny Marsh, a great grandson Avery Marsh; her siblings Francis and Eugene (Pat) Mason, Marion Bohusz all of Newark and Aurora Sinisi of Houston, TX, several nieces and nephews.  Del was predeceased by her husbands John Marsh and Leon Wagemaker, a son John R.
