Newark/Fairville—Donald O. “Moe” Scott, 63, died Wednesday (November 16, 2016) at Unity Hospital in Rochester.

Friends may call from 4-6 on Tuesday (November 22^nd) with a service following at 6 PM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Burial will be in Fairville Cemetery.

Don was born July 4, 1953 in Hornell, son of the late Clayton and Wanda Brubaker Scott. He graduated from Trotwood Madison High School in Trotwood, Ohio. For over twenty-five years, Moe drove truck for the Newark Florist. He enjoyed golf, hunting and other outdoor activities. He was a loving and caring soul-mate, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. His great sense of humor will be missed by all.

Moe is survived by life partner of 25 years, Hope Smith, daughters Amy, Jessica and grandson Gage Scott of Newark; siblings Donna (Tom) McCauley, Deborah Conwell, Sandy Zahn, Michael Scott, JoAnn (Charles) Betty, Sonja (George) Beall, Douglas Mason and Mark (Karen) Winchell; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. Predeceased by a brother Jerry Mason.
