Dorothy Hunt

Newark--- Dorothy Hunt, 93, died Monday (December 5, 2011) DeMay Living Center.

            All services will be private.  Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery, Johnson City, New York   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, New York 14450.

            Mrs. Hunt was born on July 16, 1918 in Rochester, the daughter of the late William and Lillian Light Howard.   She graduated from East High School in 1936 and attended the Rochester Business Institute.  Dorothy had worked in various offices before becoming an account supervisor for the Ontario County Department of Social Services, retiring in 1981.  She had lived in Naples and then moved to the Newark area eight years ago.  Dorothy loved animals, especially dogs and had given many strays a home over the years. 

            She is survived by her son Thomas Hunt of Walworth.  In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by a sister Betty Waterbury.
