Newark"Iva E. Garrett, 91 died on Sunday (January 13, 2008) at the Clifton Springs Hospital.

Friends may call on Tuesday (January 15th) from2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services for Iva will be at the funeral home at 11 AM on Wednesday (January 16th), with Rev. Roger Smith officiating. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery.

Mrs. Garrett was born on March 1,1916 in the Town of Huron, the daughter of Frank and Ella Finch Dailey. She was an upholsterer at Hallagan Furniture for many years, retiring in 1967. Iva had been a member of the Silver Links Rebecca Lodge.

She is survived by three daughters Sally Schoonerman of Mooresville, NC, Deanna (Robert) Brockhuizen and Helen (Clyde) Krebbeks of Newark, two sons David (Sandra) of Dundee, Bruce (Donna) of Palmyra, twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, two great- great grandchildren, a sister Ethel Beckley of Frederick, MD and a brother Harold Dailey of Lyons, several nieces. Iva was predeceased by her husbands Maynard Garrett in 1964 and Cornelius Moens in 1982, a brother William Dailey.
