Newark—Janice Gehring, 72, passed away on Wednesday (December 12, 2018) at the Wayne County Nursing Home.

All services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Port Gibson Cemetery.

Janice was born in Newark, New York on September 27, 1946 the daughter of the late Wilson and Nathalie Moore Farnsworth.  She worked for many years at JL Hammet.

Janice is survived by two daughters, Melissa (John) Bowman of Newark and Lisa Feagle of Lyons; two grandchildren Alexa Feagle and Isaiah Storrs; a brother Wilson Farnsworth of Clifton Springs; a sister Jesse Rice of Clifton Springs.  She was predeceased by her husband George Gehring and two sisters Evora McCullock and Gladys Dennis.
