Mansell S. W. Cooke

Newark/Wilmington, NC –died Sunday (July 18, 2010) in Newark at age 77. He was a long time resident of Newark, New York before he moved to Wilmington, North Carolina in retirement. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lucille Cooke, four children Keith Cooke, Malcolm Cooke, Dawn Van Duyne, Heather Glatfelter and ten grandchildren. Mansell came from England to the United States by himself at the age of 16. He worked 31 years for C.H. Stuart and later ran his own management company. He loved to travel the world. Mansell was a devoted husband, wonderful father and a loving grandfather. He was an honored veteran and was well respected in the community, devoting much of his time to helping others. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him. A private memorial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
