Dorothy Hubbard

Newark--- Dorothy died peacefully at the Pines of Peace Hospice in Ontario, October 19, 2011 at the age of 93.

She worked for the Newark Courier Gazette as a typesetter, and she worked many years in the offices of Jackson Perkins.  She enjoyed raising flowers and selling them at the farmers market, and was an avid quilter, and antique collector.  Many antiques were family pieces and she knew who owned them and their significance.  She has the honor of being the oldest active member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, of Newark.  She attended and participated weekly in activities there.  Dorothy was generous with her time and would drive members without transportation to Doctors appointments.  She will always be remembered as an independent, energetic, yet soft-spoken woman.  .

Williamson, N.Y.), John (Gwinn, MI), Jerry (Phoenix, AZ), from her marriage, a daughter Patsy Castiglia and sons Bill Southard and Lee Southard, (deceased).  Dorothy was a loving Grandma to 10 Grand children and 12 great grand children.
