I will always have fond memories of Sonn, and her passing is quite a shock.
Sonn worked for me at the Mobil Chemical Canandaigua Purchasing Department, when I was the Supervisor there, '89-'91. She was the lead Purchasing Clerk, and ran the shop like a drill sergeant. I think most people there in the plant were genuinely afraid of her, but I could see right through all of that. She was a sweet, sincere, and throughtful person, and Rodger, Ken, and I loved her very much.
She was the glue that kep that shop running like a clock...always keeping me on top of bids, quotes, contracts and the like...and taught me most of what I know about purchasing! She kept me honest (and out of trouble), and that is what made her a great person to work with.
She even had a major hand (if not the major instigator?) of the Baby Shower she and the rest of the MCC Canandaigua plant threw for my wife, Kimberley, and I when we adopted our first son, Kyle, in 1991. I came around the corner and into the main conference room, and SURPRISE! There she was, with a big smile, and a "GOTCHA!" expression on her face...along with the whole front office staff, and few folks from DTW-C! That was the greatest thing Sonn ever did for me, and I will never forget it (BTW, my son Kyle is now almost 21, and finishing his 2nd year of college!)
Sonn, you are great person, and a wonderful lady. You will be missed.

Dear Kim, Gus, Jan, and the rest of the family...
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time! We had no idea your Mom had been sick. I always looked forward to her Christmas cards and the neighborhood updates....she knew I never really wanted to move away from East Pal! I ran into her from time to time, and ironically the last time was at the East Pal cemetery. She was truly a sweet lady to us (along with your Dad) when we lived next door! They both will be greatly missed!! May your fond memories help you through this difficult time! Sending love and hugs!
