I have known Steve my whole life. We lost touch when I moved to Florida 23 years ago but got back in touch just after Christmas last year. He was a great guy and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I remember Stevie, as we called him then, when I taught him in 9th and 10th grades as the most easy-going and friendly kid ever. (I was Miss Hackett back then.) What a great sense of humor he had -- he made the teacher's job FUN! He was one of those students who stands out as a great human being. Our prayers are for his family and friends.

Words can't describe how much Steve will be truly missed. So many great times from the days he use to pull us around at his grandmother’s house with the John Deere lawnmower through the times he would invite me over for hotdogs and macaroni salad down in Raleigh through the later years where he would ensure all had a laugh no matter what was being discussed. Thank you Steve for all of the wonderful memories we shared in such short, short time. You will always be remembered.

Dear Jerry, Brian, Randi, Erica, & Darryl....
Steve was a dear long-time friend of mine, back from our days of working at Wayne Pharmacy, along with his Mom, Judy! We had a lot of laughs all those years ago, and most recently, I got a kick out of Steve honking the horn on the disposal truck every time he passed my house....sometimes twice a day! LOL! He was a special person with a big heart, and he's now a special angel resting at peace in his Mom's arms!! May your fond memories give you peace and comfort in your time of need! My thoughts and prayers are with you.....

Dear Jerry, We don't know what to say, its a great shock. I spoke to Steve last Wednesday at the Fire Department meeting and sat next to him. We are very sorry!
