Newark"Arthur W. Peake, 90, of Steurwald Avenue. died on Friday (October 15, 2004) at the Wayne County Nursing Home.

Funeral services for Art will be at 2 PM on Tuesday (Oct. 19th) at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hope Avenue, Newark with the Rev. William Mugnolo officiating. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery

Memorials in his name may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Mr. Peake was born in Newark on December 14, 1913, the son of Arthur E. and Lydia Hockenberger Peake. He was a postal clerk at the Newark Post Office for twenty-nine years, retiring in 1984. Art was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church. He served in the US Navy as a gunner's mate during World War II.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
