Charles C. DeTaeye III “Chuck”

Newark- Charles DeTaeye III, 48, of Newark, passed away on Monday (October 28, 2013) at his home surrounded by his family.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 30^th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Paul L. Murphy and Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St. in Newark. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 31^st at the funeral home with Rev. Carlos Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Port Gibson Cemetery.

Memorials, in his name, may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Chuck was born on May 23, 1965, the son of Charles and Christine Colf DeTaeye Jr. After graduating Newark High School, in the Class of 1983, he then worked for over 26 years at Parker Hannifin in Lyons until their closure . Chuck then went to work for the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital until he became ill. He had coached Little League in Newark for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marjorie Garner DeTaeye, two sons Charles IV of Philadelphia, PA and James R. (Amanda) of Newark, a daughter Nichole (Ben) of Newark, a grandson Gunner Bouwens, his parents Charles and Christine of Newark, a brother Eric (Necebbia) of Newark and a niece Sadie. Chuck was predeceased by his grandparents.
