Newark/Lyons—Charles L. Cain, 57, died Tuesday (May 24, 2011) at his home in Lock Berlin.

          Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. on Thursday (May 26th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark.   Funeral services will be at noon on Friday (May 27th) at the funeral home with Rev. Carlos Smith officiating.  Burial will be in Newark Cemetery with military honors.

          Memorials, in his name, may be made to Lifetime Care, 1120 South Main Street, Newark, New York 14513.

          Mr. Cain was born August 11, 1953 in Lyons, the son of the late William H. and Jennette Gallagher Cain.  He had attended Midlakes High School and served his county during the Vietnam War stationed in Korea.  Charlie had worked at Hallagan Manufacturing and Red Jacket High School for several years.  Most recently, he had been working at Newark Wal-Mart.

          He is survived by a step-son Scott Contario of Newark; his siblings Howard W., James M., Timothy (Elinor) Cain of Lyons, William Cain of Shortsville, Donald T. Hoad of Lusby, MD; Mary Thompson, Ruth and Donna Everhart all of Manchester; several great nieces and nephews.  Charlie was predeceased by parents and his wife Judy Healy Contario Cain in May of 2005.
