Newark--Cornelia M. DeLue, formerly of 206 Washington Street, Newark passed away on Monday (October 11, 2004) at the Wayne County Nursing Home.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday (Oct. 13th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Her funeral services will be at 11 AM on Thursday (Oct. 14th) at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Park Presbyterian Church, Maple Court, Newark or to Genesee Region Home Care, 1120 South Main Street, Newark, NY 14513

Mrs. DeLue was born in Sodus, NY the daughter of Abram and Minnie Van Koveringen Havert. She was a life long resident of Newark and a member of the Park Presbyterian Church since 1939. She had retired from Ruspak Corporation of Lyons. For many years she volunteered at the Office of the Aging helping with the Three Score Newsletter and the Alex Eligh Helping Hands.

She is survived by two daughters Gail (Charlie) Morrow of Clifton Springs, Diana (Robert) Wykle of Lyons, three sons Donald (Marcia) of Arlington, Tx., Eugene (Eloise) of Port Byron and Norman (Myrna) of Katy, Tx.; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; two sisters Dorothy Kaiser of Newark and Marian (Ben) Conley of Oaks Corners, two brothers Phillip (Ruth) Havert of Sodus, Henry (Veronica) Havert of Merles Inlet, SC and eight nieces and nephews.

Cornelia was predeceased by her husband Ivan in 1973, sister Mabel Cook and brother Richard Havert.
