Newark/Phelps-- Donald F. DePauw, 81, died at his home on Friday (March 28, 2014).
All services will be private and at the convenience of the family with burial in Riverview Cemetery in Phelps.

Mr. DePauw was born on February 14, 1933 in Clifton Springs, the son of the late Edmon and Alice Bremer DePauw. He retired in 1995, after spending his career as a self-employed carpenter and builder. Don enjoyed hunting and playing golf. He also loved watching all sports, his favorite teams seemed always to be ones that were having the winning season. He took special pride in caring for their home and mowing the vast lawn on his John Deere. Don enjoyed time at Finger Lakes Casino and traveling to various casinos throughout the country.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lillian; two daughters Lorie (David) Maul of Macedon and Peggy (Paul) Donahue of Gananda; five grandchildren Rachel and Emily Maul, Mallory and Miranda Velte, Giovanna Donahue; his brother Charles (Joanne) of Newark; two nieces and a nephew; two sister-in-laws Clara and Lepha Henry.
