Elmira—Donna A. Allington-Benton, 75, passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2021 at home surrounded by family after a short illness.
In accordance to Donna’s wishes there will not be any public services.
Donna was born on March 24, 1945 in Gouverneur, NY the daughter of the late Donald and Jessie L. Parow.
She is survived by her children Frank (Ray) Allington of Elmira, Melissa (Chirs) Chrisman of Newark, Tammie Kelly of Elmira; grandchildren Jerith Allington, Sean Maher, Jolene Cain and Jeremy Maher; several great grandchildren; three sisters Carol Downing, Ruth Thurston-Peirce, and Joanne Miller and members of extended family. Donna enjoyed caring for her beloved cat “Cena” and her grand-fur-baby “Bella”.
