Newark—Dorothy M. Frank, 81, died peacefully at home on Saturday (February 6, 2016)

 

Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M. on Monday (February 8th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. A funeral service will be held a 11 A.M. on Tuesday (February 9th) at the funeral home. Burial will be in Port Gibson Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Frank was born on September 8, 1934 in Newark, the daughter of late Henry and May Moore Schwartz and was raised by her loving step-mother Jennie Schwartz. She graduated from Newark High School in 1952 and was a long time member of the Port Gibson United Methodist Church. Dorothy had been the secretary of the the Port Gibson Cemetery for many years. She has worked at C.H. Stuart in Newark until its closing, then a Parker Hannifin in Lyons until her retirement.

 

She is survived by her children Rebecca Jandreau, Richard Frank and Bonnie (John) Salamone all of Newark, and Robyn (John) Rector of Clifton Springs; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a brother George Schwartz of Newark. She was predeceased by her husband Elmer Frank in 1993.
