Newark – Ellen M. Sapp, 80 died on Friday (October 5, 2012) at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Friends may call from 3-6 P.M. on Sunday (October 7th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Father Felix Dalimpuo will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. on Monday (October 8th) at St. Michael’s Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Mrs. Sapp was born on October 2, l932, in Clyde the daughter of Fred and Alzina Spoor Carr. A 1951 graduate of Clyde High School, she worked as a supervisor for many years for General Electric in Clyde and Auburn. Ellen was a communicant of St. Michael Church and a member of the Charity Shoppers of Newark. Ellen loved to be busy being a grandmother as well as playing golf and her gardening. Ellen is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard, her children Richard A. Jr. (Kathryn) of Baldwinsville, Margaret Ann Burm of Newark, Belinda (Richard) Bogan, of Newark, Steven (Kathy) of Newark, Barbara (Charles) Huff of Lyons; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; a brother Stanley (Della) Carr of Lyons; a sister Alzina Norsen of Newark; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers Wallace and Fred Carr.
