Newark—Francisco A. Cruz, 60, died April 24, 2015 at the home of his daughter.

Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. on Monday (April ^27th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday (April 28^th) at St. Michael Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.

Memorials, in his name, may be made to the Finger Lakes Hematology & Oncology Center, 6 Ambulance Drive, Clifton Springs, New York 14432.

Mr. Cruz was born on August 16, 1954 in Puerto Rico, the son of Francisco and Lydia Gonzales Cruz. He had served in the U.S. Marines during the Viet Nam War. Cisco had worked at NAPA, Zappia Vending and as produce manager at Bell's Supermarket.

He is survived by his children Francisco J. (Jen); Jason, and Sheena Harris all of Newark; his mother Lydia Gonzales of Rochester, father Francisco Sr. of NYC; grandmother Angelina Vasquez of Fl; brothers Mike, Hector (Mary Ann), Kurt, Melvin and Jose Cruz all of Rochester; a sister Lurdes (Steve) Martines of Hamlin; several nieces and nephews.
