Lyons/Newark—Geraldine E. Stanley, 86, died Wednesday (October 12, 2011) at the Newark-Manor Nursing Home.

            Friends may call from 10 AM to Noon on Monday (October 17^th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark, New York where a funeral service will follow at noon.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Lyons.

            In her memory, please consider a donation to the family, in care of the funeral home to assist in the purchase of a headstone.

            Mrs. Stanley was born July 3, 1925 in Marion, the daughter of the late Leon and Minnie Johnson Birch.  She was a graduate of Marion High School and has lived in the area all her life.

            She is survived by three sons Richard (Yvonne) English of Marion, Randy (Jane) English of Lyons and Leon Stanley of Lyons; eight grandchildren  Tammy English, Richard English, Jr.; Sueann Marnard;Nicole, Brandon and Kimberley English; Angelica and Leon Stanley, Jr.  She was predeceased by her husbands Frank English and James Stanley and a brother Ralph Birch.
