Jessie Rice

Jessie Rice, age 99, passed away peacefully on Friday October 9, 2026.

Services will be held 1pm Thursday October 15th at the Port Gibson United Methodist Church.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Port Gibson Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the Port Gibson United Methodist Church in Jessie's memory.

Jessie was born December 14, 1926 in Arcadia, NY the daughter of the late Wilson and Nattalie Farnsworth. She was a member of the Port Gibson United Methodist Church. Jessie enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts, and making beautiful jewelry. She was also an avid gardener. Jessie cherished her friends at Ashton Place where she lived for eight years.

Jessie will be sadly missed by her children, Patricia Bennett, Dorothy Burgess, and David Earl (Laurie) Rice; daughter in law, Loretta Rice; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, Wilson Farnsworth; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jessie is predeceased by her parents and son, Donald A. Rice.
