Jose Diaz
Newark—Jose Diaz, 70, died Tuesday (December 16, 2014) at the VA Medical Center in Canandaigua.
Private funeral services were held on Saturday (December 20th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home with Rev Rey Sierra officating.
Mr. Diaz was born on July 17, 1944, in San Juan Puerto Rico, the son of Justino Diaz and Francisca Colon. Jose was a self-employed building contractor in Puerto Rico. He had served in the US Army from 1965 to 1967. Jose had been living in Newark recently to be near his daughter and her family.
Jose is survived by his wife Patria Reyes; a son Jose Diaz-Reyes both of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico; a daughter Patricia Diaz of Newark and five grandchildren.
