Newark"Joseph N. Kibler, 89, of Church Street (December 28, 2004) at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

Services were private and at the convenience of the family with burial in Newark Cemetery.

Memorials in his name may be made to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, New York 14489.

Mr. Kibler was born on August 10, 1915, in Leroy, New York the son of Joseph and Jennie Wilson Kibler. He retired in 1974 from the Newark Developmental Center where he had been a painter for over thirty years. Joe had served with the US Army during World War II in the European Theater. He was a member of the August Mauer Post 286, of the American Legion and the Newark Elks Club.

He is survived by his three daughters Susan (Ronald) Mourey of Newark, Paula (Greg) Simmons of Jordon, and Kathy (Evan) Shussett of Buffalo, six grandchildren, one great granddaughter, two brothers Frederick and Wilson Kibler of Calif. He was predeceased by his wife Julia in 1975.

The family is being served by the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home.
