Kathryn Rease

Newark –Kathryn Rease,  59, died Friday (Oct. 8, 2010) at Strong Memorial Hospital.

            Friends may call on Monday (Oct. 11th) from 7 to 9 pm at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller St. in Newark.   A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday (Oct. 12^th) at the First United Methodist Church S. Main St., Newark.  Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery. 

          Memorials in Kathryn’s name may be made to either the First United Methodist Church, PO Box 189, Newark, NY 14513 or the United Methodist Church of Walworth, 3679 Main St. Walworth, NY  14568.

          Ms. Rease was born October 2, 1951, in Newark the daughter of George and Elizabeth Scheerens Rease.  Kathryn was a graduate of Wayne Central School, class of 1969.  For 27 years she worked as a Customer Service Representative for Garlock Ceiling Technologies.  After retiring from Garlock, Kathryn worked for Legendary Automotive Interiors.  She was active in both the First United Methodist Church of Newark and the United Methodist Church of Walworth.  At one time, Kathryn was a singer with the Sweet Adelines and a member of the Garlock Old Timers Club. 

          Kathryn is survived by her mother Betty Rease of Newark, three brothers Stephen, Gary (Vickie) and Daniel (Ann) Rease, two sisters Nancy (William) Schrader and Jennifer (Edward) Weykman, several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her father George P. Rease in 1998.
