Loren G. Barney

Marion—Loren G. Barney, 50, died Sunday (April 10, 2011) at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

          Friends may call Wednesday (April 13^th) from 4-6 P.M. at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark.  Funeral services will be private and burial will be in St Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Constable.

          Memorials, in his name, may be made to the Marion Volunteer Ambulance.

          Mr. Barney was born November 17, 1960 in Malone, the son of Lawrence and Beverly Bushey Barney. He was a graduate of Franklin Academy in Malone and joined the National Guard in Malone in 1980 serving several years.  Loren had worked various jobs over the years, most recently he owned and operated D & N Lawn Care which served the Newark area.

          He is survived by his son Nathan of Marion,  brother Larry (Patty) Barney of Victor, two sisters  Debra (Walter) Nellenbach of Victor and Donna Chenaille of Brushton, New York; several nieces and nephews.  Loren was predeceased by his parents and a brother Stephen.
