Newark –Lysandra Martinez, 51, passed away on Saturday (March 23 2013) at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

            Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. on Tuesday (March 26) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark.  Father Felix Dalimpuo will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. on Wednesday (March 27th) at St. Michael Church, South Main Street, Newark.   

            Mrs. Martinez was born on September 30, 1961 in Manhattan, the daughter of the Erasto and Ramona Caraballo.  She was a 1984 graduate of Eisenhower College of R.I.T. majoring in World Studies.  Over the years, Lysandra had been a social worker at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and the Wayne County Nursing Home.

            She is survived by her husband of six years Jose; her son Andres Banks of Syracuse; her parents Erasto and Ramona Caraballo of Hawai; two sisters Yvonne Hernandez of Hawaii and Evelyn Hollmes of NJ; many cousins, nieces and friends.
