Newark"Margaret Bradley Tiedemann, 69, of East Middlebury, Vt. formerly of Newark, died unexpectedly while on winter vacation in Phoenix Arizona on Thursday (Feb. 24, 2005).

Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday (March 5, 2005) at the Park Presbyterian Church, Maple Court, Newark, New York.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret's name to the general scholarship fund at Newark Central School District, 100 East Miller Street, Newark, New York 14513.

Born Margaret Anne Bradley on November 11, 1935 in Silver Creek, N.Y., she graduated from Westfield Academy. She earned a Bachelor's degree and a Masters in Secondary Education from SUNY Geneseo. Margaret began her teaching career at Midlakes High School as an English and German teacher. She then moved to Newark Senior High School where she taught English for 22 years. While at Newark Senior High, she was active as an advisor with many extra-curricular activities including yearbook production, cheerleading, the ski club, and the foreign exchange program. She continued to work as an English teacher for several years at North Rose-Wolcott High School. After retiring, she returned to serve as acting Vice Principal at North Rose. Margaret was active in the Sodus Bay Junior Sailing program as well as the Sodus Bay Light House Historical Society. She returned to teaching as a multidiscipline tutor for students with special needs after moving to East Middlebury, Vermont. Margaret was active in the lives of her children and grandchildren and enjoyed traveling and meeting new people with her husband.

She is survived by her husband Leonard Tiedemann, sons Thomas, Douglas, Gregory and Andrew; grandchildren Thomas, Jr., Peter, Nathaniel, Katherine, Mariah, Jonathan, Emily and Sarah; brother Robert Bradley and sisters Ada Hornburg and Elaine Martin; numerous nieces and nephews.
