Newark---Mary L. Ceravolo, 89, passed away surrounded by family on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Newark Manor.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, September 11, 2026, at St. Michael Church, 401 S. Main St., in Newark.  Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Mary was born in Newark, on February 11, 1937, the daughter of the late Anunzio and Carmella Lupinacci DeMarco.  She was a graduate of Newark Senior High School, Class of 1955. She married the love of her life Joseph Ceravolo Jr. on November 19, 1955. For decades, she was a CNA at Newark Manor.  She took pride in her home and especially loved doing the yard work.  Mary loved to bike, she would bicycle everywhere.  Nothing could beat the Joy of spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son Michael Ceravolo; a daughter Catherine (Jeff) Jinks; a granddaughter Mykala; four grandsons Joshua (Alicia), Michael, Dillon (Cheri) and Taylor; four great grandchildren; two sisters Barbara Gibbons and Monica (David) Lyon; a brother Paul DeMarco; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband in March of 2026; a sister Delores Kommer.
