Memorial services for Mary will be at 1 P.M. on Saturday (April 10th) at the Park Presbyterian Church, Maple Court, Newark.

Memorials, in her name, may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Road N., Rochester, N.Y. 14609 or to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, N.Y. 14489   

Mary was born on February 12, 1956 in Lyons, the daughter of John and Helen Pierce Sumner.  She drove big rigs for UPS Freight for over past 20 years.  Mary was a 1974 graduate of North Rose-Wolcott Central School and graduated NY State University at Brockport with a degree in physical education.  She had served with the US Army Reserves in Rochester.  One of her favorite pastimes was fishing.

 Mary is survived by her partner Susan Reeves, siblings Diane (Richard) Noyes, Pat Guthrie, Dorothy (Whelon) Wilcox, Joan (John) Sauer, John (Paulette) Sumner, and Dallas (Nancy) Sumner.  She was predeceased by her parents John and Helen Pierce Sumner and a sister Sharon Rising.
