Newark/Canandaigua--Mary Jean Lyke, (nee Fogarty), a long time resident of Newark, NY, who lived in Tucson and then, Canandaigua, completed her life's journey on January 4, 2013. 
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl.  She leaves behind her three daughters, Cynthia (John), Pamela (Steve), and Margaret (Jay), grandchildren John, Kaitlin, Tina and Olga, and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call on Monday, January 7, 2013 from 4-7 P.M. at the Paul L. Murphy and Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller St, Newark, NY 14513.  Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, (Jan. 8).  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to your favorite charity

Mary Jean also leaves behind many friends from when she lived and worked  in Newark including Pam's Place  and several local pubs. She will also be missed by her many friends at 80 Parrish Street, in Canandaigua. She will be remembered for her warm and caring nature, her strength and determination, her loyalty to the Buffalo Bills and the Yankees, and her hand- made gifts of love..
