Mary L. Clark
Newark–Mary L. Clark, 81, died peacefully at her home on Saturday (January 29, 2011).
Friends may call on Tuesday (February 1st) from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller St. in Newark. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated by Father Felix Dalimpuo at 10 A.M. on Wednesday (February 2nd) at St. Michael’s Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to St. Michael’s Church, 401 South Main Street, Newark, New York 14513.
Mrs. Clark was born on April 20, 1929, in Newark the daughter of the late Newton and Rose Petrus Sapp. She was a 1946 graduate of Newark High School and life-long communicant of St. Michael’s Church. Mary had worked for Jackson & Perkins and for many years as a sales coordinator for Sarah Coventry Jewelry. She then became a secretary at FLACRA where she worked for 20 years.
She is survived by six children William (Judith) of Lewiston, NY, Patricia Latta of Newark, Thomas of Fairport, Laura Miner of Newark, Terry (Debra) of Newark and Timothy (Karen) of Webster; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; four brothers Henry, Fred, Richard (Ellen) and Robert (June) Sapp all of Newark, a sister Lorraine Sapp of Savannah and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was predeceased by her husband William in 1990, four sisters Carmella Fisher, Isabelle Sapp, Rose Sapp, Jane Vitaro and five brothers Daniel, Samuel, Louis, Thomas and Frank Sapp.
