 Newark—Melissa A. Lindberg, 57, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at the Huntington Living Center. 

Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday February 12, 2026, at Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 E Miller St, Newark, NY 14513. A funeral service for family and close friends will follow at 7PM at the funeral home.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Huntington Living Center, 369 E. Main St., Waterloo, NY 13165.

 Missy was born in Newark, on May 29, 1968, the daughter of Robert and Cornelia “Connie” DeMeyers Tack. She was a graduate of Newark Senior High School, Class of 1986. Missy’s love of books and children led her to work as a library activity director and a daycare provider for many years. She touched many lives in this community, helping raise and guide countless children. Missy loved her family fiercely and would do anything for them, and her family truly extended to all those she knew. She cherished family vacations to the beach, going antiquing, playing board games, and, above all, laughing. 

She is survived by her husband Philip; five children Jordyn (Stewart) Eichler, Andrew Lindberg, Abby (Jared Brown) Lindberg, Riley Lindberg, and Jacob (Claire) Lindberg; two grandsons Callahan and Hollis; her father Robert Tack; two brothers Jeff (Melissa) Tack and Randy (Michele) Tack; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. Missy will be missed more than words can express. She was predeceased by her mother, Connie Tack in 2019.
