Newark – Michael Colasurdo, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the DeMay Living Center.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 14, 2025, at East Newark Cemetery.

Michael was born in Newark on July 2, 1940, the son of the late Charles and Mary DeBois Colasurdo. He honorably served his country in the United States Army and later earned his associate’s degree from Finger Lakes Community College.

Michael worked as a chemical mixer at Kodak for several years. After Kodak, he worked for Fold Pak in Newark, NY. He enjoyed helping with home improvement projects, gardening and always looked forward to his trips to the casinos. While living in Canandaigua, he found great joy in watching the deer, birds, and other wildlife in Angella and Greg’s backyard.

He is survived by his three children: Christopher (Denise) Colasurdo, Timothy (Allison) Colasurdo, and Angella (Greg Heeb) Watson; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Theresa (James) Hurley and Zinda Janke; and two brothers, Frank (Donna) Colasurdo and Joseph Colasurdo. He was predeceased by a sister, Rose Gooden, and a brother, Charles Colasurdo.
