Newark--- Nancy Lee Hill, 65, lost her battle with cancer at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem, North Carolina surrounded by her family.

            Friends may call from 12 to 2:30 P.M. on Saturday (June 2^nd) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark.  An Eastern Star and a Funeral Service will follow at 2:30 P.M.  Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.

             Nancy was born on May 7, 1947 in Clifton Springs the middle child of the late Glenn and Grace White Farnsworth.   She graduated from Geneva’s Marion S. Whalen School of Practical Nursing in 1973, earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Vocational Technical Education in Health Occupations from SUNY Oswego in 1986, Master’s of Science in Education, CAS Educational Administration from SUNY Brockport in 1996 and a School District Administrator Certification from SUNY Brockport in 1999.  Nancy retired in 2011 from Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES where she had been a nursing teacher and administrator since 1990. She was also BOCES Chief GED Examiner.  Prior to teaching, she was a registered nurse at Dr. Yung-Soo Pang office, Geneva General Hospital, Myers Community Hospital, Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and FF Thompson Hospital.  She was a member of the NY State Council of Practical Nursing Programs, NY State Health Occupations Educational Association, and the NY Health Occupations Student’s of America Chapter.  In 1993, she was awarded Outstanding Advisor at the National Conference of the Health Occupations Students of America.  Nancy was a member of the Port Gibson Methodist Church and Humanity Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.  For years, she was a volunteer for the Newark Kiddies Day Parade.  Nancy loved to work in her garden and enjoyed doing crewel stitching and traveling.

        She is survived by her daughters Polly Anna (Edward) Williams of CA, Penny (Robert) Spry of Newark and Jody(Eric) Weidemann NC; a son Jason (Maria) Trowbridge of NC; seven grandchildren; a sister Carol Ann (John) Taylor of AZ; a brother Thomas (Joani) Farnsworth of AZ; her ex husband Lewis Hill, one niece and one nephew.

        In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103 or the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Goodyear, AZ 85338..
