Newark—Nancy Ross, 76, died Friday (June 3, 2011), at her home, after fighting a courageous battle with lung cancer.

            A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Felix Dalimpuo at 10 AM on Tuesday (June 7^th) at St. Michael’s Church.  Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.

            Memorial contributions, in Nancy’s name, may be made to St. Michael Church, 401 South Main Street, Newark, New York 14513.

            Mrs. Ross was born on September 13, 1934, in Newark the daughter of the late Floyd and Bertha Goetzman.  A life-long resident of Newark, she was a graduate of Newark High School, Class of 1952.  Nancy was a communicant of St. Michael Church.  At one time, she was a telephone operator for New York Telephone Company.  She was an excellent seamstress, gourmet cook and loved to bake.  Nancy also was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening.

            She is survived by her loving husband, Lewis Ross, Jr. to whom she has been married since on June 12, 1954.  Also surviving are two daughters Sharon (Michael) Concert and Stephanie Ross; three grandchildren Ryan and Christopher Concert and Dylan Raup all of Newark; a sister Margaret Beck of Pittsford; several nieces and nephews and her little girl Zoey.  Nancy was predeceased by her son Jeff and a sister Jane Dunn
