Paul A. Lanciault
Palmyra- Paul A. Lanciault, 79, passed away on Sunday (October 13, 2013) at his home.
There are no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday (October 19th) at St. Michael Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Palmyra.
Memorials, in his name, may be made to either St. Michael's Choir or to St. Michael Church, 401 South Main Street, Newark, New York 14513.
Mr. Lanciault was born on September 29, 1934 in Cohoes, New York the late son of Joseph R. and Corinne Ouimet Lanciault. He graduated from Albany College of Pharmacy in 1955. He had been a sergeant in the Army National Guard of New York from 1957 to 1963. Paul owned and operated his own drugstore from 1972 to 1997, the Jones Pharmacy in Groton, New York and served as a bank director for the First National Bank of Groton. Paul moved to Palmyra in February of 1998 and had been a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Palmyra and St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marion. Currently, he was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Newark where he was a commentator, lecturer and sang in the choir.
He is survived by four children Denise (James) Sliger of New Orleans, Renee (Joseph) Levy of Albany, Marc (Amy) of Perinton and Elise (Keith) Mrzywka of Marion; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters Diane Lanciault of Cohoes and Patricia Duchesne both of Cohoes. Paul was predeceased by his wife of 55 years Martina in 2010 and a brother George.
