Peter D. McCord
Palmyra/Newark—Peter D. McCord, 51, died Tuesday (October 16, 2018) at his home in Palmyra.
Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. on Friday and 12:00-3 P.M. on Saturday (October 19th & 20th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday (October 22nd ) at the Palmyra Cemetery, Vienna Street, Palmyra.
Pete was born on February 21, 1967 in Newark, the son of the late Paul and Felica Van Bortel McCord. He was a 1986 graduate of Newark High School and lived in the Newark and Palmyra area all his life.
He is survived by his wife Marie Viggiano McCord of Palmyra, a daughter Brooke (Michael) Wurtenberg of Fairport; two grandsons Liam and Peter; two sisters Christine LaClair of Manchester and Coleen (Jeff) DeGroat of Penn Yan; nieces and nephews; and many friends.
