Peter A. DiSanto
Newark---Peter A. DiSanto, 87, died Monday (September 8, 2014) at his home in Florida.
A memorial service for Peter will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Thursday (September 25th) at St. Michael Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.
Mr. DiSanto was born on April 9, 1927 in Newark the son of the late Albert and Bridget DiSanto. He graduated from Newark High School and served in the US Navy during the remainder of World War II. Throughout his career, he worked as a materials manager in the electronics industry. In his retirement, Peter worked for Sam's Club in South Florida before moving to the Orlando area. There he lived on Deer Run Golf Course in Casselberry where he worked part-time. Peter played golf almost everyday up until he was hospitalized for a brain tumor.
He is survived his daughter Paula DiSanto, his two grandsons Robert and Stephen Carmody; three sisters Netta Colacino, Mary Gilardo and Theresa Santelli; several nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his wife Lilia in June 2014; son Patrick and a brother John both in 2009.
