Nachtwey, Richard A. “Dick”

Newark/Victor----Dick Nachtwey passed away on October 9, 2023, at the age of 94 and 9 months at his home with his wife Nancy at his side.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at St. Michael Church, 401 South Main Street in Newark. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Dick was born in Rochester, New York on January 9, 1929, to Peter and Edith Wood Nachtwey, he was the seventh of 8 children. Dick was a Korean War Navy Veteran, he worked for the Gannett Newspaper as a pressman for 40 years, was a movie projectionist in Newark and Rochester, and sold cars for the Piehler Car Dealership until he was 78years old.

Dick is survived by his wife of 59 years, the former Nancy Lee of Geneva, New York, DeSales class of 1955. Daughter Eileen {Dan} their daughter Abigail. Daughter Elizabeth, her children Zander, Ahnalia, and Anaiyah. Brother-in- law William Lee and his wife Sandy. Sister-in-law Marjorie Lee Sundlun. Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his  siblings and their spouses. Doris {John Rodman}, Paul [Thais] Nachtwey, Laura [Herbert Dean], James[Jean] Nachtwey, Marguerite[John McDonald],Peter[Rosemary} Nachtwey, Barbara Nachtwey Rueby.
