Newark—Ricky C. VanWinkle, 61, died on Sunday, August 25, 2024, his home in Newark surrounded by family.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday, August29th from 4 to PM at Paul L. Murphy and Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St., Newark, NY. 

Ricky was born in Newark, on April 24, 1963, the son of the late Albert and Nina Murray VanWinkle. Over the years, he worked maintainence and constuction for various companies. He loved riding Harleys and was a member of the Forged Alliance Motorcycle Club. Ricky always loved to hunt and fish.

 He is survived by his partner of forty years Christine Vitaro; two daughters Crystal (James) Navarro and Casey (Jose Delgado) VanWinkle; a step son Cory Vitaro; thirsteen grandchildre; a great granddaughter; two sisters Mabel Murray and Elaine Piscotti. He was predeceased by brothers Charles, Jerry, and Robert.
