Newark--- Robert C. Myers, 82, of Newark Terraces, died on July 2, 2012 at the DeMay Living Center.

        Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. on Thursday (July 5^th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark, where funeral services will be held at 11 A. M. Friday (July 6^th) with Rev. Christy Wareham officiating.  Burial with full military honors will follow at the Newark Cemetery.

        In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, New York 14489.

        Mr. Myers was born on October 7, 1929 in Lyons, the son of the late Clarence and Ida Kriel Myers.  He was the assistant manager for over 41 years at the Newark Loblaws/Bell Super Markets.  Bob joined the U.S. Marines in 1946 serving four years and was recalled to active duty during the Korean War.  He was a member of the August Mauer Post American Legion.  Bob loved to work in his vegetable and flower gardens at his residence on Welcher Road.

        He is survived by his son Steven of Fairport, granddaughter Shannon (Adam) Bergstresser of Canandaigua; niece Janis (Bill) Connor of Honeoye Falls, nephew Gary (Friderun) DeMay of Needham, MA.  Bob was predeceased by his wife Clara Goodall Myers in 1994 and a sister Mildred DeMay in 2008.
