Robert A. Rapp

 Newark—Robert A. Rapp, 80, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Wayne County Nursing Home with family by his side. Family and friends may call from 11 AM -1 PM on Saturday April 11 at Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St., Newark. A service will follow at 1 PM, with burial at the Fairville Cemetery. Robert was born November 22, 1945, in Rochester to the late Chester and Eleanor Rapp. He earned a BBA from St. John Fisher, proudly served 2 tours in Vietnam with the U.S. Navy and retired as a New York State auditor. In retirement, he invested in real estate, enjoyed antiquing, sailing, music, movies and traveling with his family. He was know for his love of a good dad joke. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Sharon; daughters Krystal and Jennifer Rapp; grandson Anthony James “AJ” Merced; brother Chester (Terri) Rapp and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Rapp.
