Williamson, New York

DeVries, Roberta D. “Bobbie"

Williamson---Roberta Dawn “Bobbie” DeVries entered heaven during the early morning of June 1st, 2025. After several years of drifting away, Bobbie’s battle with dementia transitioned to glorious eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was 88 years old, born January 30th, 1937.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her lifelong husband of 67 years, Roger R DeVries. She is survived by their four sons (daughters in law),12 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Daniel and Sherry DeVries, and Grandchildren Jason, Aaron, Joanna, and Ryan.

Matthew and Susan DeVries, and Grandchildren Jenna and Ben.

Roger DeVries and Grandchildren Nick and Joel.

Rob and Sharon DeVries, and Grandchildren Emily, Adam, Allie, and Anna

Bobbie grew up in Upstate New York and as a child she learned to love the outdoors, especially if she was caring for or riding her horses. She enjoyed school and graduated from Sodus High where she met Roger, her husband to be. Out of her love for people and her caring heart, Bobbie decided to pursue a degree in nursing. Her career as a nurse was relatively short lived, however the skills she learned were utilized for years as a stay-at-home Mom raising 4 boys.

Most importantly, Bobbie loved God and His truth. This was so evident by the way she loved to laugh and have fun and how she served her family and friends. She would often make time to offer kind words or encouragement by sending handwritten cards or notes. She loved to take photos capturing events and the seasons of the year. She loved to take vacations and walks along the beach. She always looked forward to her morning coffee and a Mexican sundae as a special treat.

Thank you for sharing your life with us Bobbie DeVries. We look forward to seeing you again one day!
