William G. Glass

Clifton Springs—William G. Glass, passed away peacefully at home with his wife and daughter at his side on Monday (July 13, 2015)

Friends may call from 4- 7 P.M. on Friday (July 17th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. A funeral services will be celebrated at noon on Saturday (July 18th) at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to either the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Glass was born on September 28, 1946 in Gowanda, New York, the son of Lloyd and Elizabeth Rebman Glass. He was a graduate of Brockport State University. Bill enlisted in the Army and served in Viet Nam. He was a member of the Phelps Amerian Legion, Seeley B. Parish Post #457. Bill was a loving and devoted husband and father. He enjoyed gardening and his yard work.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kathy (Parker); his daughter Jessica (Brian) Hartranft of Fredericksburg, VA.; son Jeremy of Geneva; three grandchildren Ayden, Tyler and Jacob; his sibling Barbara Appleby of Alden, Douglas (Kathy) of Columbus, OH; Gregory (Jane) of Box Springs, Georgia; several nieces and nephews; good friends Robert Scott and Richard Bylbie. Bill was predeceased by his parents and a sister Julia Ruda.
