William L. McKay

Marion/Newark—William L. McKay, 77, died Wednesday (May 18, 2011) at Rochester General Hospital.

          Father Felix Dalimpuo will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at    11 A.M. on Monday (May 23^rd) at St. Michael Church, South Main Street, Newark.     Graveside services will be at 2:30 P. M. in the Marion Cemetery.

          In lieu of flowers, friends and family may make contributions to St. Michael’s School or to their favorite charity.

          Mr. McKay was born January 9, 1934 in Rochester, the son of William and Delia Neary McKay.  He graduated in 1952 from Edison Tech.  Bill and his wife Beverly (nee Neary) moved to Marion 52 years ago to raise  their family. He was a pressman for thirty-five years at Standard Register in Rochester, retiring 1990. 

          He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly; his children Susan (Robert) Reed of Victor, Kathryn (Dean) Mirras of Newark and William of Marion;  six grandchildren Nathan (Jennifer) Reed, Nicole Reed, Shari (Ryan) Kletz, Eleni Mirras Elizabeth and Colin McKay; four sisters Kathleen McKay of Rochester, Margaret (Cameron) Gilbert of Rochester, Elizabeth (Leo) Clam of Denver, CO, and Sheila (Robert) Roney of Webster; many loving nieces and nephews.  Bill was predeceased by his parents and a sister Patricia Ryan.
