Yolanda G. Stooks “Lonnie”

Newark----Yolanda G. Stooks “Lonnie”, 79, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at her home in Newark.

A Celebration of life will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Cornerstone Fellowship, 503 Murray St., Newark, NY.

Yolanda was born in New London CT., on January 18, 1945, the daughter of the late Felix and Mary Vezzose Green. Lonnie always kept her self busy, she was a hard working woman. She spent many years at Utralife Batteries. She loved to cook and found herself catering in her spare time. Most recently you could find her at the Arcadia Thrift Shop, she loved interacting with the customers.

She is survived by a son Leslie (Crystal) Powell; two daughters Lisa (Charles) Wetmore and Lori (Luke) Burgess; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Albert F. Stooks.
